The Refugee Crisis - Concerning the Christian

December 15, 2017

I'm really in shock at some of the post I'm reading today in regards to the Refugee situation. Some are claiming that it is "not Christian" to want a screening of the refugees coming into the country. Others saying that it is "not Christian" to turn the refugees away, even if there is a possible threat involved.

I'd like to ask those of you who feel this way two things...

1) When was the last time you opened up your home to a complete stranger who you knew was possibly bringing along with them someone who wanted to kill your family?

2) When is the last time you opened up your home to a homeless veteran on the street? For that matter, when is the last time you paid for him to have a home of his own, as well as all of his food and utilities taken care of?

It is our charge to make sure that we protect our families. Making sure that we safeguard those who God has entrusted to us is as Christian as you can get.

It is ignorant to brush off the facts. This country has commitments that it is not taking care of. It is not in the interest of our country to take on more when we cannot even handle what we have. Christ spoke of being a good steward, as well. You cannot give from lack. It is ludicrous to start talking about providing for refugees when we have women and children in our own country sleeping outside in the cold. We can give shelter to a refugee, but not to our own citizens??? When did providing assistance to possible terrorists whilst stepping over the cold, hungry body on our own street corners become the "Christian" thing to do??? That makes absolutely no sense.

She is right. We can't afford to take in the entire world's sick and poor. So lets look at the effects of immigration into America!
