If God, why evil?
To revisit my previous post on "If God, Why Evil?" I'd like to restate and clarify some points I believe we all must understand.
The idea of evil presupposes that something is not right. Therefore evil is evidence of a good and right God.
Evil is present for man, NOT God, perverted what was created to be right.
It has been evident throughout scripture that the good and right God has repeatedly urged mankind to turn from their wicked ways - to repent.
When evil befalls you, know where the blame rest - on mankind, NOT God.
It is in the fact that there is evil that there is a God who is out there you can turn to.
First off, the very concept we call "evil" presupposes that the thing, idea, situation, etc..we label evil is not right. This in turn means that what is not right was originally meant or designed to be good. Hence, we (for the most part "we") believe that God is the designer or creator of that which has been perverted. And that it is man, not God, that is responsible for the said perversion of that which was good.
Mankind since the Garden has tried to blame God for the evil that is. Adam said in response to his sin, "The woman which you (God) gave me, made me do this." It was wise man - Pastor Steve Pixler - that told me once, "When we accept the fault as ours, then true healing can come."
So I encourage each and everyone that takes the time to read this, do not shift the blame on your spouse when you find yourself in an argument, nor on your children. Do not blame your coworkers, neighbors, etc...when you make mistakes. Own up to them and be healed. As it is written, "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed." (James 5:16)
